The Tsagaantsav Svita is an Early Cretaceous (Berriasian to Valanginian) geologic formation. Indeterminate sauropod and psittacosaurid remains have been recovered from the formation.〔Weishampel, et al. (2004). "Dinosaur distribution." Pp. 517-607.〕 Remains of the pterosaur ''Noripterus'', which were originally given their own genus, "Phobetor" have also been recovered from it.〔Barrett, P.M., Butler, R.J., Edwards, N.P., & Milner, A.R. Pterosaur distribution in time and space: an atlas. p61-107. in Flugsaurier: Pterosaur papers in honour of Peter Wellnhofer. 2008. Hone, D.W.E., and Buffetaut, E. (eds). Zitteliana B, 28. 264pp.()〕〔Lü, J., Azuma, Y., Dong, Z., Barsbold, R., Kobayashi, Y., and Lee, Y.-N. (2009), "New material of dsungaripterid pterosaurs (Pterosauria: Pterodactyloidea) from western Mongolia and its palaeoecological implications."
